UF Neonatal Simulation Curriculum

At the Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation (CELS) fellows can enhance both technical and clinical skills as well as crucial leadership and communication skills. During monthly protected simulation time, fellows lead and participate in 2-3 high-fidelity simulations for up to 60 unique scenarios over 18 months. The simulation curriculum runs parallel to didactic learning sessions, further reinforcing knowledge acquisition and providing opportunities for honing clinical acumen in hands-on practice. Fellows who express a particular interest in gaining simulation expertise are selected to receive additional training and mentorship in scenario development, facilitation, and debriefing.

The Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation is a 5-minute walk from our fellowship offices. We have access to state-of-the-art equipment and highly-trained and experienced simulation educators.
