Through the RPICC contract, the Division of Neonatology is responsible for giving a minimum of four outreach lectures per 12-month period. We invite staff from the Health Departments to come to the hospitals where the lectures are usually taking place. Lectures are an hour in duration and address care and services for high-risk pregnant women and neonates. The lectures are geared to each area’s specific needs and other topics that are requested by the outreach areas, and are available to hospital staff, CMS area office staff, County Health Department staff, and local community partners. Continuing education credit hours are given to nurses for these lectures. Our goal is to provide updated information in the fields of High risk Obstetrics, Perinatology, and Neonatology. Physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other personnel are always invited to attend. Please call (352) 273-8985 to request topics.
